Experimental Study on the Protection of Rubble with Local Scour of Single Pile

As most destructive form of marine base erosion, local scour has long been the major consideration of bridge designers in design. When local scour is unavoidable,measures shall be taken to prevent it from damaging bridge safety. rubble protection is the most popular protection methods,it features easy material acquirement,simple process and flexible operation,and for long it has been the study hot spot. This paper,beginning with local scour and rubble protection theory,uses water tank test to study and explore the role of rubble protection to local scour,and the difference of rubble protection effect under different parameters.
