Application of CFRP Plate Reinforced Hollow Slab Bridge Technology without Interruption of Traffic

With increasing traffic volume of urban bridge,it's necessary to explore the bridge reinforcing methods without interruption of traffic. The most busy South Trunk Bridge in Chongqing is taken as example in this paper and reinforcing method using hinge irrigating glue and CFRP plate at the bottom of beam is introduced to meet the demand for increasing the lateral integrity of the hollow plate and improve the structural bearing capacity without interference to traffic. In the same time,performance of pre- stress anchorage from different manufacturers are put to static tensile test to choose anchorage products,optimize construction process and strengthen construction process control. After reinforcement,the static load test show: the bearing capacity of bridge resume designed target and the effect of reinforcement was excellent.
