The Mechanism of the High Temperature Chloridization Corrosion on the Heat Transfer Surface of Utility Boiler

The high temperature corrosion on the heat transfer surface of coal - fired utility boiler is generally existed. The aulfate and sulfide corrosion have often been thought to be the main contribution. Recently researches have shown, the influence of high temperature chloridization corrosion caused by chlorine existing in the coal should not be neglected. This paper emphatically discusses the mechanism of high temperature chloridization corrosion and some counter - measures have been proposed. Further investigation topics are also suggested.
