Study on the Synthetic Vesicle from Diallyldidodecylammonium Salt

In this paper, the synthesis of diallyl vesicle-forming quaternary ammonium salt is reported. The topochemical polymerizateon of this monomeric vesicles to their polymerized counterparts was performed by γ-ray irradiation, AIBN and APS inducement. Some of the properties of the vesicles such as the stability and osmosis as well as phase transition temperature were closely investigated, and the inner structure of the vesicles were also studied by freeze fracture electron micrographs. By means of the experimental results, we can conclude that the single-compartment vesicles have been synthesized and polymerized.
