The Influence of Initiator, Solvent and Reaction Temperature on the Molecular Weight of Polyalanine in L-alanine-NCA Ring-opening Polymerization

The N-cariboxyl-L-alanine-anhydride (L-ala-NCA) was prepared with phosgenemethod. The influence of initiator, solvent and reaction temperature on the molecularweight of polyalannine in L-ala-NCA ring-opering polymerization was examined. Itwas found in experiment that the polyalanine could also be produced by thermalring-opening polymerization of L-ala-NCA. The molecular weight of polyalanine ob-tained in this way is much higher than that prepared by initiator polymerization system.
