The Determination of Optimum Curing Conditions by Dynamic Torsional Vibration Method

New HLX-1 Resin Curometer has been designed and built, by which the curing conditions of T31-epoxy resin E51 system was optimized. The optimum curing temperature for E51 epoxy resin-T_(31)curing agent system is 333K, when the content of curing agent is 20 phr. The estimated apparent activation energy of cure reaction is 52.7 KJ/mol. The nonequilibrium thermodynamic fluctuation theory was used to predict the cure behavior of T31-epoxy E51 system.
