Kinetics of Polyurethane-Modified Epoxy Resin PUDGEBA/PSt Simultaneous IPN's Cured at Ambient TemperatureⅡ.Effect of content of Styrene on Curing Kinetics of PUDGEBA/PSt

The curing kinetics of polyurethane-modified bisphenol-A-type epoxy resin (PUDGEBA/PSt) simultanous semi-IPN's at room temperature has been investigated by chemical titration and viscosity determination. Result show that the content of styrene monomer(wt%) has remarkable effct on the gelation time of the system. The gelation time postponed with the increase of content of styrene. The time of maximun reaction velocity of two components arrived at can be altered relatively with change of content of styrene (wt%). The curing of PUDGEBA/aliphatic diamine proceeds with autocatalytic mechanism but styrene/ BPO(+DMA) with autoaccelaration mechanism, with reaction order 3 and 2 respectively.
