WANG Li;WANG Liu-jian;JI Ya-li;State Key Laboratory for Modification of Chemical Fibers and Polymer Materials,College of Materials Science and Engineering,Donghua University;
Two kinds of catechol-conjugated chitosan(CHI-C and CCS)for tissue adhesives were obtained via EDC/NHS coupling reaction and sequential Schiff base reduction reaction respectively,using NaIO4 as curing agent.The structure and properties were characterized by FT-IR,~1 H-NMR,antibacterial experiment and lap shear strength test.The effects of the ratio of the adhesives on the gel formation and adhesive strength were discussed.Results showed that these two kinds of adhesives had short gelation time.Both the increase of catechol amount and NaIO4 content had good effects on gel formation and adhesive strength.The maximum adhesive strength of CHI-C was 40.42 kPa,and the maximum adhesive strength of CCS was 15.68 kPa.The two kinds of chitosan derivatives demonstrated excellent antimicrobial property.
