A Study on the Synthesis of a Novel Inkjet Dye C.I. Acid Red 388

ZHANG Guo-dong(Jinhua Shuanghong Chemical Co.,Ltd.,Jinhua 321000,Zhejiang China)  
A compound was synthesis from 2,4-dicarboxybenzaldehyde and m-hydroxy-N,N-diethylanline in acidic condition by condensation,and a crude dye was obtained from the compound by solvent dehydratation and oxidation.A novel inkjet dye C.I.Acid Red 388 was obtained by spray drying the crude dye that desalted and salt replaced by nanofiltration membranes.Clean production was achieved by recycling solvent of dehydration.
