In this paper,the instability mechanism of high cutting slope in the construction of Tangling-Tangkou highway has been studied,some measurement and methods for sythetical treatment were provided,and the effectiveness of treatment has been proved by some practical engineering programs.From the consideration of economy,environmental protection and safety,no fixed model of slope treatment exist there for references;there-fore the reasonable treatment design only is prepared according to conditions in site.During the period of con-struction,it should be complied with the principles such as information construction,supplementary investigation and dynamic design to carry out the synthetical dynamic treatment of slope,and the focuses must be put on the monitoring to safety in the period of operation.
