Instructional Design of “Geometric Progression” Under the Guidance of Core Competencies

As the objectives of mathematics curriculum,mathematical core competencies need to be cultivated in practical teaching.Classroom teaching aiming at core competencies means to design instructions based on core competencies,which is conducive to the transformation of teaching philosophy,teaching model and other fields.This paper,based on the teaching design of "Geometric Progression"from PEP compulsory 5,chapter 2,section 4,presents the process and ways of internalizing such mathematical knowledge as the general formula of geometric progression and other related knowledge into mathematical core competencies among students from the perspectives of teaching objectives,teaching procedure and teaching supervision.
