Nutritional component(N、P、K、Ca and Carbohydrate)of leaves and fruits during the period of Litchi(Litchi chinensis Sonn. cv. Nuomici)fruit development were determined in this experiment,The resultsshowed that the maximum amount of nitrogen was required in earlier stage of Litchi fruit growth and devel-opment,and the less of potassium. The requirement of potassium in the later stage of Litchi fruit growth wassuperior to nitrogen,The phosphorus contents of leaves during fruit growth were stable, and fruit was insen-sible to the phosphorus changes, The physiological fruit drop in the earlier stage were closely related to nitro-gen for the first and potassium for the second, but the opposite in the later stage, fruit nutritional state main-tain the lowest level during the peroid of embryo abortion, to be related directly with the middle stage fruitdrop. The changes of calcium and carbohydrate in Litchi fruit are also related to the fruit drop.
