Research on photonic crystal fiber sensors for dynamic pressure measurement

Photonic Crystal Fiber(PCF) sensors are widely used in various kinds of dynamic pressure measurements.In this paper,a PCF sensor for dynamic pressure measurement is designed,its pressure acting principle analyzed by using the differential balance method and its output signal detecting scheme discussed.The results indicate that its response to the external pressure is periodic and the response period is relevant to the external pressure and the length of its sensitive elements.
