Establishment of A Porcine Model with Basal Ganglia Hemorrhage

Objective:A porcine model with basal ganglia hemorrhage has been established and evaluated.Methods:On the base of saccule extension,a pig model of basal ganglia hemorrhage was established by injecting 2.5 ml blood obtained from the caudal artery into the basal ganglia of the swine.The behavior of the models evaluated,and cranial CT was performed on the animals.Results:The model was successfully established in 80% animals.There was a significant change in behavior at 6 h after the basal ganglia hemorrhage.Seven days later,the defect in behavior gradually recovered.Conclusion:The mortality rate of the swines was low,and the achievement ratio was satisfactory.The hematoma was stable,and the behavioral change was obvious.The model can be used for research.
