Objective: To investigate the recovery of neurological deficits and hemorheology treated with butylphthalide and atorvastatin in patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods: Total 124 acute stroke patients were collected in this study, 62 patients in control group and 62 patients in treatment group. All patients were treated with routine therapy, including aspirin and atorvastatin for 14 days. Patients in the treatment group were treated with the routine treatment and butylphathlide for 14 days. NIHSS score and BI score were used to evaluate the recovery of neurological function of the two groups after 7 days and 14 days. The hemorheology indexes were detected after 14 days, and the adverse reactions were recorded. The follow- up was performed at 90 days and 180 days after treatment. Results: 14 days after the treatment, the NIHSS score and BI score of the patients in the treatment group were significantly better than those in the control group(P0.05). The total efficiency and the recovery rate of treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P0.05). The treatment group showed better hemorheology indexes than the control group(P0.05). The were no significant difference in the adverse reactions between the two groups(χ2=0.532, P=0.498). BI scores was improved at 90 and180 days after treatment in both the groups(P0.05); and the treatment group patients were significantly better than the control group(P0.05). Conclusion: Butylphthalide combined with atorvastatin is safe and effective for acute cerebral infarct patients.
