Properties and Application of Modified Medium Manganese Wear Resistant Steel

Mn6 steel was multimodified using Re-Mg-Fe and Ti-Fe alloys, which refined the as-cast microstructure of Mn6 steel. The cast was directly quenched using the casting-heat, which can simplify the manufacture process of the casting and reduce the manufacture cost of the casting. The wear resistance of Mn6 steel obtained by this process was increased efficiently. Under low impact energy wear conditions the wear resistance of the Mn6 steel was 1.8 times of ZGMn13 steel. It has been widely used to manufacture the wear resistant lining of transport coal machinery in Qinhuangdao Port. A good benefit was obtained in practice.
