Progress in Superalloy Design Methods

WANG Chun-shui, PENG Zhi-fang (Wuhan University, Wuhan 430072, China)  
The progress in the development of computer aided design, artificial intelligence and optimization calculation in superalloy design is described. The guidelines, theoretical basis, characteristics and applications of these design methods are analyzed respectively. Based on newly developed theories and experimentation of superalloys design, the tendency of prospective developments in superalloy design methods is discussed.
