Effect of Heat Treatment Parameters on Cristobalite Content in Li_2O-ZnO-SiO_2 Glass-ceramics

The crystallization and microstructure of Li2OZnO-SiO2(LZS) glass-ceramics were studied by DTA,XRD and SEM.By means of K value method,the effect of heat treatment on the thermal expansion properties of the glass-ceramics and cristobalite content in LZS glass-ceramics was discussed.The results show that the major crystalline phase of the glass-ceramics was cristobalite when the sample crystallized above 775 ℃.The crystallization temperature was the most important factor.The thermal expansion coefficient was influenced by the amount of the cristobalite which was the major crystalline phase of the glass-ceramics.
