Numerical Simulation of Molten Pool Temperature Field of Copper-Zinc Alloy Radiated by Chemical Laser

Molten pool temperature field of HT62 copper-zinc alloy radiated by chemical laser was numerical simulated by ANSYS finite element analysis soft ware based on the Fourier thermal conduction model.The specific heat capacity of the alloy was measured with DSC method and the key thermal characteristic parameters of the simulation were worked out.The results show that when the laser power density was 17.95 kW·cm-2 and spot diameter was 6 mm,the alloy began melting after radiated for 0.393 s,and a spherical cap molten pool with diameter of 6.4 mm and depth of 1.64 mm was formed at last.And power density threshold value for the alloy melting was 6.1-7.3 kW·cm-2.The simulation results are consistent with the test results.According to the simulation results,appropriate laser process parameters can be chosen in the practical application of materials radiated by laser.
