Thermal Conductivity Property of Closed-cell Pure Aluminum Foam

The thermal conductivity coefficient of closed-cell pure aluminum foam was measured as a function of porosity and cell size.The results show that the thermal conductivity property of the closed-cell pure aluminum foam was influenced by conduction,convection and radiation.The thermal conductivity coefficient of closed-cell pure aluminum foam decreased with the increase of porosity,and the cell size showed no obvions influence on the thermal conductivity coefficient.The thermal conductivity coefficient of samples with porosity of 83.2%-91.0% and cell size of 2.5-5.3 mm at room temperatare was 0.297-0.752 W/(m·K).
