Research Development of Laser Welding Technology of Plastics

The technological characteristics and research status of laser welding of plastics are analysed,the four kinds welding process methods and their application range of are introduced,and the technological challenges facing the further development of the technology and the critical and basic issues needing to be solved are discussed.It is pointed that controlling quality defects,such as plastics distortion and cracking is key bottle-neck problems challenging the further development and applications at present.The development directions of laser welding technology of plastics in the future are also forecasted at last.
