Effect of Compound Energy-Field with Ultrasonic and Electromagnetic Field on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Roll-Casted 1060 Aluminum Alloy Strip

The roll-casting tests of 1060 aluminum alloy strip were performed by common symmetrical type method(without composite field) and asymmetric and sunken method(compound energy-field with ultrasonic and electromagnetic field).The effects of compound energy-field on microstructure and mechanical properties of the aluminum alloy strip were studied.The results show that,after the composite energy-field was applyed,the cast-rolling rate(range from 1.2 m·min-1 to 1.4 m·min-1) was increased by 30%,microstructure changed from columnar grains to even and fine equiaxed grains,and the tensile strength,yield strength,elongation and hardness were improved by 25.03%,24.37%,40.09%,and 10.95%,respectively.
