Microstructure and Photoluminescent Properties of Eu~(3+):SnO_2 Glass Ceramics

Eu~(3+):SnO_2 glass ceramics was prepared by sol-gel method,and its microstructure and photoluminescent properties were studied.The results show that the glass ceramics with rutile SnO2 nano-crystals were obtained after dry gel was heat-treated at over 400 ℃.The characteristics peak of SnO2nano-crystals showed red-shift with the increase of heat treatment temperature.Stack split appeared in the emission spectrum of the glass ceramics obtained at 800 ℃ when it was excited by UV-light with wavelength of 280 nm,this indicated that Eu3+entered into the SnO2 crystal.
