Holographic representation and coding of image

When image transmitted over unreliable channels, the decoded image quality will be damaged because of bit errors and lost packets. Holographic representation and coding of image provide good performance for image robust transmission. 1D and 2D holographic representations were analyzed, and the mathematics representations were presented. A wavelet-based image coding was used in image holographic representation to compress the image data. The experiment results showed that the proposed coding method has effective error resilient performance for image transmission.
