Spectral reflectance recovery based on multispectral imaging

In some high_precision color reproduction applications, there is a need to obtain spectral reflectance of each point on the object's surface. Since the vast majority of reflectance spectra for surfaces are smooth functions, each reflectance spectrum can be represented as the weighted sum of basis functions. Mutispectral imaging technology based on this principle can recover spectral reflectance accurately and quickly. A principal component analysis was made to obtain basis functions of reflectance. And a multispectral imaging system was set up to analyze the result of spectral reflectance recovery for different amount of basis functions.
