Study for evaluation of camouflage material effectiveness

XUE Jing-jing , BAI Ting-zhu , LI Guo-chen(Department of Optical Engineering, School of Information Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing100081, China)  
Camouflage range ratio was introduced by means of analyzing differences between the infrared signatures of the camouflage target and natural target. Based on stadia-estimated model, the relationship of the temperature difference between targets and backgrounds and camouflage range ratio was calculated. The results of validation example show that camouflaged range ratio is a practical and reliable parameter to evaluate camouflage effectiveness.
