High speed real-time uncompressed digital video record and analysis system

A system composed by high speed camera, high speed frame grabber, video server and software for record and analysis was proposed. It can acquire uncompressed digital image data in high speed and real-time, and complete the function of display and processing simultaneously. SCSI hard disk array and RAID technique were adopted to break the bottleneck between high speed CPU and low speed hard disk I/O. It was proved that the system can acquire and process 120 frames monochrome digital image (648(H)×484(V)) per second in real-time and there is no losing frames in the whole process by the experiment result.
