A Theory and Method to Obtain Information of Phase Change Rate of Object

According to the imaging theory of partially coherent light,the intensity distribution atthe outputplane of the Foucaultknife- edge phase testis obtained.The results indicate that the information about phase change of the input object function can be obtained under given conditions,when it is illuminated by an incoherent quasi- monochromatic source. A method for observing the phase information of objects is given and the imaging cases are analyzed.
