Near Infrared Spectrum of 2 3Π u →1 3Σ + g Transition in Sodium Dimer

Lü Zhiwei Wang Qi He Weiming Zhou Gengfu Ma Zuguang (Institute of Opto Electronics, Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin 150001)  
The near infrared emission in the spectral region of 0.98-1.04 μm with peak around 1.0 μm has been observed by excitation of high lying state of Na 2 with UV dye laser, and the emission is attributed to the 2 3Π u →1 3Σ + g transition in Na 2.
