Development and commercial test of a low-temperature NOx SCR catalyst

An alumina-supported copper catalyst for selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NOx with NH_3 at low temperature was developed. Bench-scale and commercial tests showed that content of copper and the promoter, calcination temperature and space velocity has remarkable influence on NO conversion. The catalyst featured wide operating temperature "window",high activity and good crush strength. Commercial test showed that NO conversion of 99.6% was obtained under the following condition: 280 ℃,inlet NOx concentration 21562 mg/m~3 , space velocity of 4100 h~(-1).
