Advances in waste oil reclaimation techniques

Latest processes for waste oil reclaimation were reviewed. A slurry hydrotreating-distillation process developed by Sinopec Fushun Research Institute of Petroleum and Petrochemicals (FRIPP) was described. Waste motor oil for gasoline engine was treated through the technique with recovery of over 85%.The recovered oil can be used as high-quality lubricant oil. Experimental results indicated that this process featured simplicity, ease in operation and no environmental pollution.
