DISCONTINUOUS DEFORMATION ANALYSIS ON BLOCK SYSTEM AND ITS APPLICATION IN CRUSTAL STRESS

Chen Bing; Jiang Zaisen;Zhang Xi;Wang Shuangxu(The Second Crustal Deformation Monitoring Center, CSB, Xi'an 710054)
The fundamental theory and its features of Discontinuous Deformation Analysis (DDA)are introduced. The problems existing in DDA's application in solving geodetic data are discussed. Then, based on tectonic background of the Northern China, the block system is set up. The result of crustal stress inversion by using 1992, 1995, 1996 observation data of GPS in the Northern China is similar to stress measurement data and the least square collocation calculations. It infers that DDA has something of valuable future. Finally, the study regions are discussed.
