APPLICATION OF THE GEOCHEMICAL PROSPECTING METHOD TO THE ACTIVE FAULTS EXPLORATION IN XINING URBAN AREA

The soil radon is tested in potential faults by FD-3017RaA instrument in urban active faults exploration in Xining,and the geochemical characteristics and the methods of potential fault determination are discussed.The results show that 2 points are determined to be abnormal in 8 geochemical profiles,and the fault position is determined according to the results and the artificial shallow earthquake prospecting results.The soil radon test as a supplementary method is helpful in urban active faults exploration.
