STUDY ON LANDFORMS OF SOUTH TIANSHAN BASED ON DIGITAL ELEVATION MODEL

Based on the data of STRM-DEM( 90 m) and the ArcGIS spatial analysis module,the optimal analysis window of the study area was 31 × 31 by artificial judgment method,maximum height difference method and maximum height-difference method. The area about 7. 78 km~2,the topographic elevation( maximum elevation,minimum elevation,average elevation) and topographic relief of the southwest Tianshan Mountains were extracted according to the best window obtained. The results show that the southwest Tianshan has a steep mountainous area with a high central and eastern part of the western part low geomorphic features,with high relief and domination,along the strike direction of the Tianshan Mountains in the southwest,the undulating topography of high mountains gradually decreases from east to west; the distribution pattern of NE-SW in high altitude shows that the area suffered from NS to the strong extrusion uplift role; and through the strip topography analysis of the study area flat topography characteristics,that the development of the Southwest Tianshan 4 layered topography,and reflects its repeatedly tectonic movements.
