Current Status of Simulation Based Medical Education in China:Issues,Challenges and Future Directions

Simulation based medical education( SBME) is a key progress of the teaching method and instructional technology in recent years. As a bridge between theoretical teaching and bedside practice,it can not only provided necessary teaching resources,but also improve the quality of patient care and patient safety. Being realized the role of SBME by medical educators,SBME has been developed and promoted quickly in China. But there are still many problems need to be discussed and improved,such as operation on the simulation center,faculty development,curriculum construction. In this article,we will summarize the current status of SBME in China and discuss its issues,challenges and the future directions.
