Objective To study the evaluation value of examination of plasma pro-brain natriuretic peptide(pr O-BNP) and procalcitonin(PCT) levels in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) acute exacerbations complicated with heart failure. Methods 58 patients with AECOPD complicated with HF cured in our hospital from June 2014 to June 2016 were selected as observatin group. At the same time,58 healthy subjects were chosen as the control group.Evaluation value of plasma pro-BNP and PCT levels in clinical diagnosis of patients with AECOPD combined with HF was compared. Results The indexes of pro-BNP and PCT in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group. After treatment, both pro-BNP and PCT indexes decreased significantly. The pro-BNP and PCT indexes in patients with grade ATS/ERS at grade 1 were significantly lower than those in grade II.The indexes of pro-BNP and PCT in the severe group were significantly higher than those in the medium group and mild group. The pro-BNP and PCT indexes in the middle group were significantly higher than those in the mild group. The differences were statistically significant(P 0.05). Conclusion Plasma pro-BNP can objectively reflect the cardiac function, and it is an important basis for clinical diagnosis of heart failure.PCT can accurately reflect the severity of AECOPD.The combination of the two methods is of positive significance for the assessment of heart failure in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
