The Clan of Immigrants Bearing the Family Name of Gu and the Development of Guizhou and Introjections of Nationalities in Ming Dynasty

Han Leilei(Institute of History and Culture,Southwest University,Chongqing,400715)
The clan of immigrants bearing the family name of Gu entered Guizhou in the high tide of immigration in Ming dynasty. Its military and political activities directly contributed to the establishment of Guizhou province, thereby becoming the vanguard of Guizhou. It is worth noting that a branch of the clan entered the area of the Miao nationality in the southeast of the province and so the clan developed into two branches: a branch of the Han nationality and a branch of the Miao nationality. The two branches made joint efforts to develop the Miao area of the southeast of the province. From Ming and Qing dynasties, the two branches had a common development. They inherited the culture of the Hans of Central Plains on the one hand and promoted the introjections of the cultures of the Hans and the Miaos on the other.
