In this paper, with the discussion of rotating mirror scanning highspeed photographical systems, the role of amount of information and rate of information in assessing the quality of a high-speed photographical system is examined, the complicated factors, in real photographical system which influence the amount of information and rate of information are analysed, and the necessity and possibility for simplifying their calcula tion is also discussed.
