OBJECTIVE Effect of different extracting method on the content of total flavines in Polygonum cillinervewas investigated. METHODS The total flavines were extracted using ethanol reflux extraction,ultrasound-assisted extraction, enzyme assisted extraction and ultrasonic-assisted enzymatic hydrolysis extraction. The absorbance was measured with UV-visible spectrophotometry. The content of total flavines were calculated according to the standard curve. RESULTS and CONCLUSION Different extracting methods possess different effect on the content of total flavines. The highest extraction yield was found using ultrasonic-assisted enzymatic hydrolysis extraction.
