On Arch Effect in Civil Engineering

Yang Xueqiang;He Shixiu;Zhuang Xinshan  
Being combined with the civil engineering,the arch conditions and principle of the load-bearing arch are detailed.It is pointed out that better understanding of the arch effect will help us to comprehend the stress distribution and to raise the theory and design level in civil engineering.
