An Edge Detection Operator Based On Mathematic Morphology

CHENG Xiao-qian(State Key Laboratory for Information Engineering in Surveying Mapping and Remote Sensing,Wuhan University,Wuhan Hubei 430079,China)  
An edge detection operator based on mathematic morphology is proposed.Firstly,the iterative method is used to change the gray image into white and black image,then the advanced operator is used to segment the image.The result of experiment which is achieved by Visual C++6.0 show that the advanced operator can detect the edge of the object accurately and consecutively.And it can suppress the noise effectively.
