This paper has am ample record of the thelohanellusis which has caused high mortality of carp in net cage at Wangkuai reservoir since 1989. The main symptoms of the infected fish are as following: the rotton gill, the swollen anus and the inflated abdomen with a large quantities of mucus in the cavun abdo- minis. Under the microscope, we can see that pathological changes spread to every tissue and every organ: the cells of the epithelium entericum are necrotic;the fiber of the smooth muscle glassily degenerates and disintegrates;the gill filament is con- gested;the gill lamellas mix together and the nucleus of the liver cell is dissloved and necrotic.
