Development status of cutters for PET staple fiber

The development status of cutters for PET staple fiber was analyzed from two aspects of material and production technology. The service life of cutters can be prolonged efficiently by using YS2 cemented carbide alloy instead of Crl2MoV, and the cutter deformation and edge defect can be avoided greatly. The production cost can be reduced by using surface treatment and laser cladding technology. The development trend of cutters was focused on material and production technology.
