Application of deoxidization system in drying process of PA66 chips

The reasons for high oxygen content in a nitrogen drying system for PA66 chips were analyzed. The necessity of a de-oxidization system was explored. The practice showed that the oxygen content can be decreased from 50μg/g to 5μg/g or below by equipping a deoxidization system adding 2% -3% hydrogen reacting with oxygen using palladium as catalyst and nitrogen as drying medium. The system can avoid the oxidization of PA66 chip effectively, ensure the stability of PA66 spinning and after-processing and improve the product quality.
