Rheological behavior of co-polyimide spinning solution

The rheological behavior of benzophenonetetracarboxylic dianhydride-tolyene diisocyanate-diphenylmethane diisocyanate co-polyimide(P84) solution was studied using N-methyl pyrrolidone(NMP) as a solvent.The results showed that the NMP solution containing 17%-21%P84 by mass fraction was a shear-thinning fluid with the non-Newtonian index of 0.80 -0.98 from 40℃to 60℃.The non-Newtonian behavior of the solution increased while increasing P84 concentration and decreasing the temperature.The viscous flow activation energy of the spinning solution increased while increasing P84 concentration at low shearing rate.The structural viscosity index,storage modulus,loss modulus and complex viscosity of the spinning solution increased while increasing the P84 concentration and decreasing the temperature.
