Present Situation of the Research in the Area of Mining Complex Types of Data

With the rapid progress of the data collection tools, advanced database system techniques, and worldwide web techniques, vast data in various complex forms have been growing explosively, such as spatial data, multimedia data, timeseries data, text data and so on.This paper gives some introduction of the technique and the present situation in the area of mining complex types of data, then makes a simple prospect of this field. 
