Experimental study of cooling methods and heat-transfer of Ti alloy specimen

Enhancing the cooling to spread heat in the process of the material cutting and grinding can improve the efficiency of cutting and grinding and guarantee grinding surface quality of test sample.Based on the experiments of atomizing jet cooling the Ti alloy(Ti6Al4V) specimen with fixed pressure,wind and different quantities of water,this paper discussed the performance and regulation of heat-transfer when atomizing jet cools Ti alloy specimen with fixed pressure,wind and little water.The experiment result shows that there is a best range of the little amount of the water,which makes perfect effect in atomizing cooling.When the cooling effect of the material′s temperature plays sufficiently,the atomizing jet cooling is a superior way to the water jet cooling and air jet cooling.
