Influence of boundary conditions on temperature distribution in the diesel piston

In order to determine the temperature distribution in the piston,the boundary condition of the piston must be correct.The temperature distribution in a G4135diesel piston was calculated under rated situation when he heat flux simulated from the combustion,fluid flow and heat transfer computation in the diesel in-cylinder is used as the boundary condition.The temperature distributions in the same piston were calculated under two boundary conditions that were the traditional empirical formula and the numerical simulation.Results were compared between the two boundary conditions.Results show that the largest temperature difference in the piston is under place where the piston temperature is the highest.So the numerical values can be used as heat boundary conditions of piston top to simulate more accurate temperature distribution.
