Parallel active power filter based on dual DSP

To meet the requirement of harmonic elimination and reactive power compensation in three-phase four-wire power system,a parallel active power filter was designed.The filter adopted deadbeat PWM control method and ip-iq harmonic detection method that based on instantaneous reactive power theory.The arithmetic was realized in two DSP chips that controlled the main power circuit to achieve the purpose of harmonic elimination and reactive power compensation.The basic principle of APF was described firstly;and then,the method of detection and control was proposed.Finally,simulation was made in SIMULINK of MATLAB.Meanwhile,experiment was made on a prototype that has two DSP TMS320LF2407A and TMS320VC33.The results show that the new filter is good in dynamic harmonic elimination and reactive power compensation.It may be used widely in three-phase four-wire power system.
