Sidelobe suppression method of linear frequency modulated pulse compression signal

For the big range-side-lobe problem of linear frequency modulated( LFM) pulse compression signal,a new method of adding combined window function to suppress side-lobes is proposed. LFM pulse compression signal is added to the window of mixing convolution of rectangular window and Hanning window,then cutting toe technology is used to manipulate the minimum value. For pulse compression signal of small time-bandwidth( TB)product,adding window filter cannot meet the practical requirement of radar,the spectrum modified technique that makes the output spectrum similar to the Kaiser window is applied. Compared with the classical method of adding window filter to suppress side-lobes,testing results show that the ratio of main-lobe to side-lobe can increase by 4 to 12 d B in the same time-band-width,which has certain reference significance for improving radar engineering design.
